Part 1 of 4. Classic Game Room was the FIRST classic video game review show on the Internet in 1999. Returning in 2008 with new episodes, Classic Game Room breaks out a review of HERZOG ZWEI, the realtime strategy game for the Sega Genesis. Herzog Zwei is a game where you play realtime strategy against an opponent as a transformable jet fighter that turns into a giant robot, like a Transformer (Jetfire anyone?) or a Veritech fighter from Robotech (Jetfire anyone?). Similar in style to Command and Conquer yet different in every way from Command and Conquer, Herzog Zwei is a challenging game that allows you to command an army of tanks, missile launchers, bikes, armored cars and gun turrets and wage war against a mysterious blue alien race of tanks and transforming robots. Capture bases, waste enemy units with your giant Go Bot and blow their headquarters to bits. If you want to learn some tips and tricks and how to play Herzog Zwei watch the four part review for gameplay. Tips and tricks flow out of this gameplay rich review because CGRHD is a master of Herzog Zwei and believes that it needs to come out on Xbox Live Arcade XBLA or PS3 Playstation 3 Network so that the rich multiplayer mode of the game can be brought back to life. Technosoft created this game in 1989 and it was released for the United States version of the Mega Drive (Megadrive) in 1990. The Mega Drive had many games from Technosoft including THUNDER FORCE 2, Thunder Force 3 and Thunder Force 4 (Lightning Force aka Lightening Force). The first game Smash T.V. will remind you of is the old arcade game robotron. You are competing in a television
game show where you must collect money and prizes while killing waves of enemies that enter the room from all sides.
You can run around and shoot in all directions, including angles. You will also pick up various power weapons
such as rockets or spread machine guns. You must also avoid mines and shrapnel from exploding enemies.
Each stage has a maze of rooms you can make your way through. You choose your own path towards the stage boss.
The bosses can take a while to kill, and get vastly more difficult as the game goes on.
